NEW YORK, NY – A documentary about sex workers organizing in the wake of a police raid that led to a Flushing massage worker leaping to her death and a multimedia art installation centered on the experiences of women can collectors in New York City Chinatown are among the projects awarded grants this year from the Asian Women Giving Circle.
“In a year defined by the global pandemic and protests against systemic racism and police brutality, we are lifted by the vision and resilience of artists and activists who hold a mirror to the world and create windows to more just futures,” said AWGC founder Hali Lee.
