AWGC host first Sip, Shop and Swap event at the Mertz Gilmore Foundation

Co-hosted with the NY Women’s Foundation Circle of Sisters for Social Change, we learned about wines with Tuhina De O’Connor. All guests brought gently used items from their closets for a silent auction, and left-overs were swapped. A fun evening with friends and allies. Thank you!

The Asian Women Giving Circle celebrated its second year of grantmaking at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop on March 5, 2008. At this second annual Celebration of Arts and Activism, we heard from our 2007 grantees, whose projects are in progress: Andolan, the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, documentary filmmaker Socheata Poeuv, the Museum of the Chinese in the Americas, the New York Asian Women’s Center, and Saya! Desi Girls on Da Rise.
